View Full Version : Interest in an Android App?

04/24/2011, 07:15 PM
So, I'm finally in the 21st century with the Samsung Fascinate running Android 2.2.

Is there any interest out there for an Android app that allows you to monitor your Aquatronica controller?

I'm guessing that most people are running Aquastats so I'm wondering if my app should just poll the Aquastats DB for data in combination with monitoring the sensors in real time. The phone app would probably also log data but it might be more valuable at first to just use the AquaStats db.

I haven't even downloaded the Android SDK yet, so don't get crazy and start asking when you'll see it. I have about 100 hours of "project" work on my house before my wife is going to let me nerd it up on weekends for free.

Make an iphone app!

Some guy already did. Why would I get an iPhone when I have an Android phone?

Also, I don't like to develop for companies that decide if people can install my software. How lame is that. The user should be able to decide what software they run.

Hi all,

I have developed app "AquaMonitor".
I have released on AppStore.
It's free software.
It is not aquastats.

You can monitor the sensors of aquatoronica and power control instruments.
And data is recorded into cloud storage, you can look one on Safari.
Please look url below.

Please let me know if you have some questions.

In addtion, I have a few requests for Android(Web App).
Therefore I haven't develop one.

Best regards,
