How did you become interested in garden eels? Good to hear they are doing well, always heard they are hard to keep. How deep is your sand bed?

Cool 'a-typical' fish tank (pipes and garden eel)! Wish I had a DSB to try some. Good luck and post more pics. Glad they are eating prepare food!

I've always wanted them but never had an appropriate set up for them. Solved that problem by building this tank specifically for them. Sand bed ranges from 10" down to 3", with an average of 7

These two moved to the front glass

That is a really cool setup!

Could you share a bit more about the details of the tank? what do you use for lighting that enables you to keep that acro colony on the bottom of that deep tank? What filtration are you using?

I'm sorry if there is already a build thread...if you have one, could you please link us?

They are so cool! What an awesome tank you have :)

Lighting is 3 AI blues maxing out at 80%. 4 mp 10s synced on nutrient export. Filtration is nothing special, 2 filter socks changed every other day, pm skimmer, phosguard, chaeto. 2gallons/day water change using seachem salinity.

The AIs are primarily on the right side of the tank over the coral.

Awesome tank. GL with the eels. I thought about adding a few to my 180, but have some pretty active fish and was afraid they'd hide till they died. I'll just live vicariously through your tank ;). More pics please!
