I want to change from all T5's to both MH/T5. Who makes a quality fixture that will not break the bank?

Thx

If you are interested in a retro fit kit, I'd check out hellolights.com. Call or chat with Dan, he will help you with whatever you need.

Hamilton Lighting has several that look pretty nice.

Despite what some would say, I've had good luck with the odyssea fixtures.

The first one I got was the budget 150W and the ballast went bad after a month. They replaced it and I'm still running it.

I also have the 60" 3x250W with the odyssea 20K bulbs and a 24" 250W with 4xT5 - 15K odyssea bulb.

The 20Ks have a decidedly blue color - the 15K is a nice crisp white.

Two issues - nothing major - the way the switches are wired, it is possible to run the MH lights with the fan off and of course they will get very hot and the blue moon LEDs are very dim on the newer fixtures.

I fixed the fan issue with a piece of tape so it cannot be inadvertently switched off.

All in all I'm very satisfied with the quality and I've gotten good service.

I just upgraded to a Hamilton Cebu Sun fixture for my 65 gal; 2X250W and 4X39W T5. It's built like a tank.

It doesn't have the sleek lines of a Giesemann, but it doesn't have the huge price tag either.

My Current outer orbit worked out great for me, there are used ones floating around.
For best results change to better bulbs than the stock ones.
