View Full Version : Ok Need help identifying these things!

What are these things sticking to the tank wall? They have long tentacles compare to its body and just cling on to the wall.

Also i have all sort of algae growing on the tank wall too. Whats best way to get rid of them?

look almost like those hydroids but the tentacles have a different shape. I'll be interested to hear what others have to say as well.

Are they Aiptasia or Majano anenomes?

How new is the tank and also, a pic of the algae would be helpful.

ok from what i research, they are no good creatures and I do have an invertebrate in the tank. I think I will squash them later with a paper towel because it seems like there is more and more by the sec

If they are hydroids they shouldn't last too long on their own and yes they will multiply (likely quicker that you can squish them) before they die off. Hydroids are not all that uncommon.
