I saw A&M aquatics selling a zoanthids named "ultra zoanthids"

I was going to buy this from petco. Any idea what this might be?

Is it just a randomly picked coral, because there are different looking pictures for it on the A&M website.

"Ultra" = hype

I can sell you an "ultra" half empty Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. :beer: Dont get sucked into the the hype bro. Those look like eveyday zoas to me.

And if Petco of all places is selling it There FAR from "ultra" :smokin:

At some LFS it simply refers to them having bright or vivid colors, not names. Sometimes they come in kinda blah colored and those sell cheap, if they're bright they get labelled ultra then sell for a few more dollars.

Is Michelob Ultra considered an amazing beer?

If it was $20 for a 6 pack would it taste any better?

Its usually the collector/transhipper who distinguises between the "common zoas" and the "ultra zoas." The LFS is just following suit. They give bright, colorful zoas the "ultra" name tag to make a few more bucks.
Same thing is done with clams. They come in different grades. Grade A, Ultra, ect. Its all just hype to get you to buy the most colorful ones, when in reality it didnt cost anyone anymore to collect them.

^ Here is a prime example of some "Ultra Hyping..." The only thing "Ultra" about it is the color saturation in the photo editing process...

Think of it like Clam grades.
B Grade- So So color
A Grade- Good Color
Ultra Grade- Wowza Color!

It's not ideal, but slightly better than the Naming Hype that is so common these days.
