I just up my euro-reef nano skimmer, and I was wondering is the filter cup supposed to fill up with water? It bubbles all the way to the top and if the lid is on it overflows. Am I doing something wrong? Just a little bit confused.

no... sounds like you have to much flow back it down some

Like deeper into the water?

Open up the outlet more so that the water dosn't run up as high into the skimmer.

ehhhh I don't really have much room, the pump intakes are right at the surface as it is... : /

I'm not sure how you adjust the flow on that skimmer. You either restrict the flow from the pump, or you open up the flow leaving the skimmer. Make sure nothing is blocking up the flow coming out of the skimmer.

I'd assume the outlet is at the bottom of the skimmer where there is a sponge, seems to be the only opening on it.

I don't have experience with those skimmers, but based on the photos I've seen on the web, it looks like there is a locking screw that you adjust to raise or lower the skimmer column to adjust the water level. Raise it so the water level is at the base of the skimmer cup.

It's a tall skimmer, I could only get it like 6-7 inches into the water. I don't think it will work for my system : / thanks for the help though
