Kolorscape Play Sand

I noticed in WaterKeepers articles he talks about using Southdown sand from HD as a base sand. He noted that it was no longer available, however, doing some research I found that Kolorscape is the same company as Southdown.

Now from what research I have gathered, it appears that on the East coast, Kolorscape is still primarily Aragonite. Does anyone have any experience with this sand, have they switched to primarily Silica or is it still primarily Aragonite?

Edit: If this is not good for aquariums, does anyone know of a cheap source of Aragonite sand instead of paying $30 at the LFS?

I've used kolorscape with no problems. Currently on a quest to find more for my new build with no luck.
