Stretching its mouth out for food?

The bump in front of its mouth looks like a new mouth.

The mouth is in the middle and the bump im talking about is where there is a green color towards the back

Is it always like that?
It might just be the way its sitting on the rock. My ric folds up into pleats all the time. Maybe that is what that part is.

No this is new. I just got it. And i got it from a friend and it didnt look like that. Actually it looks like its thriving better in mine. And it didnt have that bump when I put it in 3 days ago.

It's stretching. They'll do that as conditions change, they grow, they may reach for light and expand more, etc. They are alive, remember... :)

My rics would fold like that, its nothing to worry about from my exerience
