How to limit GSP travel?

Hey all,

I have a bunch of GSP that is out of control. It started as a little teensy patch, but now is dominating 1/2 of my already small tank.

I am trying to make some room for some new sps, but am at a loss on how to remove the green star polyp.

Any ideas?

you should be able to peel away mats of it...then give it away!

I have the same issue...I can peel the mats from the sides of the aquarium or the sand, but not the live rock, it gets into the nooks and crannies, and it is as hard to kills as aiptasia, IMO...I make sure whatever rock it is on isn't touching any other rock, then I try and turn over any rocks it makes itself onto to kill it off. I also put a candy cane over one section, the candy cane multipled like crazy and blocked off the lite to that section, and presto: no more GSP there...

That is exactly what I am facing and talking about... it is totally stuck to the LR...

surrond it in frogspawn and torch corals so far has worked every time

Get some new pieces of live rock if its a small tank.

avoid it like the plague and if you have to have a GSP island surounded by sand. Once it gets on the rocks it is hard to get rid of and a small piece of mat pulled off and missed will take over your tank in no time. This stuff is so invasive it kills aptaisia!

As you can see, Zoas are starting to get a little out of hand too. The green ones I bought, but the red ones were LR hitch-hikers!
