Hi everyone, meet my clownfish Clown (not very creative I know):
http://www.trtguild.net/tank/clown/clown2.jpg
Had her for a few months and she's a bit protective of her new anem. I've been thinking of pairing her for a while and cannot decide on what type of clown to go with. I think I'd prefer a completely different look for her husband so I was hoping you all could give me some ideas =) Not sure if she's a true or false perc though...

Was thinking a black one of some sort...but open to all suggestions!

She is a false perc ( ocellaris clown to be correct ) and you could pair her up with a smaller ocellaris black clown, even though they look different they are the same exact species and can be paired up. I (think) you can also pair her up with a true percula clown but I think that would be the only option for cross- species pairings for your clown. Good Luck!

If you just want a different looking clown thats compatible, you can go with one of the ORA ocellaris clowns. They come in black, part black, domino, snowflake and premium snowflake.

Mine looks like https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_IyqT4isGzMU/TcIdALRuDrI/AAAAAAAABw4/i1cUd6BhyIM/DSC_0181.JPG

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but I have a "bonded" pair of a b&w occ and a picasso. They swim/sleep/eat together 24/7. They aren't currently being hosted by anything and I'm not sure if I should try to get them an anemone (I don't want to kill one from my lack of experience).
Any chance on them breeding viable offspring?

And beautiful clown Undone guy. I love her tail and hope you find her someone just as pretty :)

From my understanding they do not NEED an anemone. They should be fine with or without one - it's really up to the owner of the aquarium. I will warn you though that until your anem finds a place IT likes then you're subject to it moving all over and terrorizing all corals in its path. I found mine walking over my rainbow pocci one night and it took a good month for it to recover =(

I also hear that it's near impossible for the offspring to survive in the tank (other things will eat them). And if they do survive apparently they require special live foods that are a pain to keep alive continuously - bottom line is they're a lot of work!
