Hey guys/girls my ghost ribbon eel "Casper" has been acting strange.

over the past couple feeding he only takes one silverside and maybe 2-3 free floating mysis that i feed the lions and the betta. Before all of this he would eat 4+ silversides.

am i ok? am i just worred over nothing?

tested amonia 2 times and got 0 both times. all other fish are acting normal. normal colors and eating habits. is this just an eel thing??

other than the not eating as much his day to day activities seem the same. stays in the same hole with his head out. swims every once and a while.

no agresstion to or from him with the other fish. it just leaves me puzzled.

:hmm4:

eels go on hunger strikes, so it isn't completely unexpected. it is eating something, which is still good news. Perhaps try offering some new food items, but generally be patient

What I have learned from eels is when they are sick they tend to change there normal habits, mostly breathing funny, hidding a lot. Eatting does change what I have seen is they dont eat at all.

Mine would go on hunger strikes from time to time, try feeding him something new.
