My tank and LED drivers are upstairs and my Apex is downstairs. Will a a RJ45cable carry the dimming signal over 50 feet to the Meanwell driver?

I just set mine up at 30 feet with no problem.

You biggest enemy is voltage drop so you wont get a full 10v at distance but 50feet is fine. for longer distance just use a high gauge wire or double up your pairs

"RJ45" is a type of connector, not a type of cable. If you're using regular category 5 cable, here's a calculator that will show you your expected voltage drop: http://www.netkrom.com/voltage_loss_over_cat5_calculator.html

At 1/10 amp current (I expect far less in reality) you're only getting 1/10 of a volt loss at 50 feet. I wouldn't worry about it.
