cool can it be applied under water or if not does it need some time to cure before placing in the tank again?

I prefer aqua mend. It can be bought on amazon. Best way to use epoxy is in conjunction with glue. Make a sandwich, glue on frag plug/epoxy/glue to rock. This allows the epoxy to form to the rock, and using glue for its adhesive

Marineland, Aquamend, JB Waterweld, PC Marine, it's all the same. The only difference is the price. You can mold it under water and it usually takes about 15 minutes or so before it starts to set.

I use Apoxie sculpt from AVES studio. You can get it in colors and make it look just like corraline covered rock...

The front edge is all apoxysculpt on a eggcrate frag shelf I made last year.
