Hi all,
I have a 40G tank and yesterday I added 2 news invert. One arrow crab and one Coral Banded shrimp. This morning the Arrow crab was eating one of the coral shrimp pincher and this evening it was just eating the Coral Banded Shrimp...

I have a cleaner shrimp left in my tank...
Should i worry about it?
Was the Coral Banded Shrimp week and this is just bad luck?
Could i get a new Coral Banded Shrimp?
What are your take on this?
Thanks for your help...
Philippe.

I have a remora C protein skimmer, a Fluval 304 filter 2x koralia 500g/h and 1 750 g/h.
So far the population in my tank is:
2 clown fish
1 skinny fish yellow in the front and purple in the back (came with the tank)
1 fish that eat sand
1 cleaner shrimp
5 turbo
3 hermit crab
1 shoehorse crab
1 Arrow Crab (who had my Coral Banded Shrimp for dinner)
some snale that goes under the sand (no idea how many but may be a couple)
1 bleu start fish
2 feather duster (about 3 inch big)
1 white anemone with purple dot at the end
1 regular looking anemone
1 torch
1 frogspawn
1 plate coral
1 purple mushroom

Arrow crabs feed primarily on bristle worms in aquariums. I've never heard of an aggressive arrow crab but CBS's are known to be aggressive when they reach larger sizes. I'm betting the CBS died and the arrow just had a free dinner.

I don't know but you could solve everything by putting a mantis shrimp in there ;)

(wrong section, try "other inverts")

Was going to say just that.. A mantis shrimp solves that problem fast :lolspin:

Ok,
I looked up the Mantis shrimp and it looks like it will for sure solve all my issue with the Arrow crab :)
Sorry again for the wrong section...
