diy acrylic corner overflow question

i just cut 2 pieces of acrylic to make a corner for my tank, its clear textured acrylic i found around the house.

my question is can it be painted by krylon fusion? or not..

also, i am going to use weldon seal the seam between the two pieces into a L

can silicone hold it firmly in place? , will the pressure evenly push it so it doesnt jar loose?

krylon will work fine. as long as the weldon is for acrylic, it, too, will be fine. Silicone will hold it just fine. By the time the overflow fills, there is essentially no pressure differential between the two sides. FWIW - mine is a one piece - just angled between the side and back of the tank - no seam to worry about.
