View Full Version : ID Please - Strange tubes underneath rock

I have a ton of these underneath a couple pieces of live rock. Both pieces of rock that they are on came from a established reeef tank of about 5 years. Any ideas? They only seem to be on the underside and not in any light.

really hard to tell from the pic, but I'd guess it's an algae of some sort...

These are harmless sponges. Another sign of tank maturity.

Yep, sponges. They come in several colors in that type. I have purple ones.
