Hello!

Been lurking around these forums for a while and thought I should finally register. Have got a 28g JBJ HQI tank that has been running for aroun 8 months. Good progress amde and starting to add corals here and there.

Will post more details in the nano tanks section. Once question I have is, Do you know of any sponsors in the USA that will post/send livestock, particularly Zoa's out to the UK?

Thanks in anticipation!
Ohh and here's a pic of my tank!

Nice tank! Beautiful Flameback Angel! Where in the UK are you? I'm an American living in the US, but I lived in London for 3 years and with any luck I'll be heading back soon.

Yeah, I don't know any online places that ship livestock to the UK. But I do know a fellow reefer from London, so I'll ask him where he gets his stuff from. I think he told me he does order online.

Welcome!

Beautiful angel and tank! Sorry can't help with the supplier issue. One set of my ancestors traces back to Yorkshire!

Your limiting factor is going to be customs laws. Don't necessarily quote me on this, but I am pretty sure nobody really does this.

I think you have to have a special license or document stating what you are transporting in terms of livestock. True, not many people do this, but it's best to call your shipping company or customs. I know that there is a big disadvantage, as to shipping overseas because the shipping company doesn't cover the cost of dead livestock or damage even if it's covered by shipping insurance which I personally think is ridiculous because a package could have been mishandled by someone, but at that point there's nothing you can do.

Mate, I'm in London and on my phone right now. But there are places you can order from online, UK based, that have great stock. When I get home I'll post some links.

Right, let's try this again. Here are a few that I've ordered from with no complaints.

http://www.zoaphoria.co.uk/ - Their stock varies, but if you keep an eye on the site and get in quick when new stuff is added you can get nice frags.

http://fishmansfrags.co.uk/ - they do one thing on special offer every month for really cheap.

http://www.coralswap.co.uk/ - I haven't actually tried this yet, but it's a great idea both for conservation and for the frugal hobbyist, trade frags rather than buy!
