So I could feel a shock on a cut when reaching into the tank tonight, and also noticed the fish weren't acting exactly right. By unplugging each item, I identified my tunze nano skimmer as the culprit. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I will leave the skimmer unplugged tonight until I can work on it tomorrow.

Please help!

Any electric cord submerged in water will provide induced voltage and that type of voltage is usually the type you feel with a cut on your hand.

Most will say its nothing to worry about. I'm not sure I agree. I have gone to great lengths to remove every cord from my tank. Can't say for sure but my tank seems healthier now.

Toss a voltmeter in the wall and test the tank. if the pump is putting off more then ~5v it might be problematic.

Best I can recommend is to contact tunze. Great cs and if its under warranty then they will probably swap the pump.
