Unfortunately I had a clown picking on my duncans and they were not very photogenic today, but here are the other lps in the tank. Enjoy!

Clowns can damage LPS corals.

Thanks! It's a Nikon D3000 with the kit lens. I have a magnifying filter as well (sold as macro lens, NOT!!:headwalls:). As far as settings

ISO: 100
Aperture: 5.0
Shutter:1/20

Sitting on a tripod on carpet (hence the blur) if anyone has any tips to keep a tripod steady enough for closeups on carpet let me know.

I'm hoping to have a little better looking rock in the next few weeks. Just set this tank back up about 2 months ago after breaking it down to drill it. Never had lights until a week or so ago when I moved corals in, now I have diatoms EVERYWHERE :furious:

Oh well, thanks again for the compliments! And the duncans have been moved to another tank, if the clowns get caught messing with anything else, they will be banished to the aiptasia tank.

Don't know if I'm digging up a dead thread here, but @Skrillnet. a good way to get focused pics from a tripod is set the timer on your camera for 1 second or 2 seconds. That way, when you take the pic the camera wont be moving from the button press. FWIW.

That bubble coral is nice! What color was it sold as?

It wasn't sold as any particular color, but I think this is what they call pearl.

nice acan! looks like buble gum :)

If my son can get a hold of that acan, he'd instantaneously chew it up like its wrigleys spearmint gum lol
