Hello All,
i used to have FOWLR tanks and sometimes some anemone and softies
i decided to move to reef, mainly LPS and softies but hope to go to SPS one day
i have 400 liter L shape tank
i added a 90 liter sump/refuge (skimmer+cheato+some plants+sand and rock and algae scrubber) 2 weeks ago
i'm using 2 PVC overflow (one goes to skimmer area, and the other to the refuge area)
I got 4 tunze 6105 and Multicontroller 7096, and waiting for wood to arrive to make the canopy

http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=3244&pictureid=31631
i use 3 6105 with the controller in pulse mode 0-50 power
A and B work together at 50% then in 0%
C is working 50% when A and B are 0% and 0% when they are in 50%
D is the sump out flow and directed to down a little and left
E and F are intake to sump

here is a video of the tank now
sorry for bad quality video as it's captured by mobile

now to the questions
1- how many pumps i should use of the 4 and where to place them
2- i'll use 2x150w metal with actinic lights (is this enough)
3- i have some dust on rocks and sand, how to remove it
4- is the wave i have in the tank shown in video is ok

The wave looks fine, and the water movement also. If you are getting that wave without a wave box, you are doing very well.

Best bet is you post your question to Tunze, they have a forum on RC under the sponsor section. There is a guy called Roger who will reply to you with good advise.

On my side just one question, why are the pumps max 50%? if you have them pulse between min and max, you should get better propagation. Also, what intervals are u using?

Hello marcopolo
thank you for your reply
i'm doin 0 to 50% as i'm afraid it moves the sand
i'm still in my day 2 using it and change parameters every day to see what is the best
pulse flow is 0.8
i'll post the thread in tunze forum
