My Clown Tang was getting too big and aggressive for the tank it was in. Things were going fine up until now, but when it beats down a Blueline Trigger and puts a small gash in it's side, it's time to do something. The other fish were stressing out. It was time for the tang to visit the Queen.

The Queen Trigger's tank has large rocks that she can't move to allow fish to hide. Before the aggression issue, I had been considering adding the tang to the Queen Trigger's tank, but wasn't quite sure how it would go. The Lunar Wrasse has been in with her for quite a while now with no issues.

I was able to safely add the Clown Tang to the tank, and it hid in the rocks all night. I was surprised to see it swimming out in the open this morning. It stays clear of the Queen, but isn't being chased or harassed.

Very nice. So what does the clown tang eat? And how big is it? I know the queen is around 20" if I remember correctly, which makes that clown tang look about 8-9"?

Feeding time = stay out of Big Mamma's way time. She still eats more food than all of the other fish combined. Her tank is a 180 RR.

The Clown Tang eats NLS pellets like a pig, and whatever meat the triggers get. I'll have to get a head on shot of the tang some time. It's so fat that it's shaped like a triangle, lol. The Queen is about 22" to the tip of the streamers, and the tang is about 8".

I went back and found the earliest picture of the tang from April 2009. It was by far the smallest fish at the time. If I recall correctly, it was only $34. It grew larger and faster than all of the other fish except the Emperor Angel.

Damn lmao that fish is awesome! Thanks for sharing! I can see why you were nervous with putting the tang in there lol. You can tell the wrasse in the first vid is like get out of her way lol he even steals a piece and she goes across the tank to cllaim it back I could watch that all day.

She gets fed once or twice a day, usually pellets. When she sees me walk into the room with a cup of seafood in my hands, it's crazy time. Splashing water out of the tank is always a problem.
