Hi guys.

Im thinking of having a sump without baffles, and using a filter sock on the drain line. Do you think this will work fine as far as preventing bubbles in DT tank?

Cheers.

what about the skimmer? if using an internal skimmer you will want baffles in order to keep the water level constant.

I have a baffle for that, set at 8 inches. But don't really want to have 2 more to create the trap before the return...unless it's necessary. If a filter sock will do the trick then I'd use that.

yeah a filter sock over the drian line and skimmer output will work to keep bubbles at bay, just make sure to change them regularly

Thanks. How often would you change the sock. Every couple if weeks?

yeah when I changed mine I would change them out every 2-3 days.

get a few of them that way when you change 1 set you can clean the others.

Another alternative: a fuge with a big ball of cheato, which breaks up bubbles.

Hi Guys....thanks for the help on the sock / baffle question.

Can you please take a quick look at my plumbing to see if its ok. Only thing that is not there is a piece of SPA FLEX on the drain pipe with a filter sock connected to it. Please shout out suggestions to make it better if you have any.

looks like it will work fine. my only suggestion would be to get a hanger for the drain pipe. once you have water going to it it will weigh it down and put more pressure on the pipe.
