View Full Version : what is this on my live rock help!!!!!

hi people!!!new to the site and the saltwater setup.i recently bought some live rock and a couple days later i noticed these peach colored things on it but find anything that looks like it,i thought it could have been bubble algae but none of the descriptions and pics match,if anybodys seen these before please let me know150800

cool thnx ill try it out,,,yea the pics aint great but there just like a patch of peach colored bubbles but rectangular with a white stripe in center,,its weird lol

do each of these "bubbles" have little openings on them? are there little rings on each of these single "bubbles"? it sorta looks like a sponge and a tunicate at the same time. harmless filter feeder.

yea,,,after a little more research i think they r tunictes,,,now the question is r they harmfull? they look kinda cool but not cool enough to harm my fish and other stuff lol,,thnx for the help guys and girls

Tunicates are harmless filter feeders. IMHO they are some of the most interesting animals that we can end up with. They fall into the family with vertebrates. They are more closely related to you than they are to anything else in your tank except the fish.
