I am exstatic to have a fish start eating frozen brine shrimp. My purple queen anthias after 2 months of eating only cyclops and sallys reef plankton just ate brine shrimp:celeb1: . it didnt just eat one, it darted around the tank eating many.

nobody near me carries it. i am going to mix some mysis in with the brine soon and see if it goes for both.

I have had some tuka anthias now for just over a week and they were feed arctic pods at the lfs. Just yeseterday they starting eating mysis and they actually like it better and feed much more than the arctic pods. My next goal is to get them on cyclop-eeze or some other dry food.

took mysis today with the brine. i would rather it eats the frozen for me because thats what the rest of my fish eat. i wouldnt think you would have a problem with dried cyclobreeze, the problem is that you will need to feed it many more times a day (might need 5 + times)than frozen larger foods.

i like rods but with my 5 tanks i would go through a 16oz pack a week. i like to grind up my own and toss a small piece of brine or mysis in with it.

Had 5 purple queens ordered from BZA that up until 2 days ago all 5 were eating OVA/Cyclops/Rods

3 died overnight for absolutely no apparent reason. Took me 3-5 days just to get them to eat anything in the first place, and started to see them go after more and more food only to have 3 die.

The 2 left are aggressive eaters for sure, so we'll see how they do. Definately a fish thats a bit more finicky than most, and having halides they tend to stay in the shadows more often than not.
