my tank is now cycled and i have added a few snails and a cleaner shrimp. The water has been cloudy for a while now, probably has improved a little. I still have to clean the front of the glass everyday though, otherwise it appears hazy. is that normal? and will it pass on its own or is there something i should be doing? i have only had my CUC for a couple of days

then it's algaein the water. algae needs 2 things==light==nutrients(phosphate, nitrate)
does the tank get sunlight?
do you use rodi or tap, how high are your nitrates, phosphates?
it could clear with time, but addressing these things is necessary.

phospates are in between 0 and 0.25, nitrates are less than 5. I use RO water for to ups. There is a fair bit of green hair algae in there, should i pull it out by hand? will that help?

phosphates slightly high. could be coming from sand or rocks. is ro 0tds?
you can run some gfo to bind phosphates. and do a few water changes for nitrates after cycling.
cuc should help.

it's not unusual to have some algae after the cycle. a few water changes and cuc will probably help.
i would think about about a phosphate reactor though.
and a trickle system produces nitrates. so monitor nitrates and do water changes.
you may eventually remove the bioballs as your rock and sand will be your filter. live rock make sure you have enough. about 1 lb.per gallon.
