what would you say a 5 gal bucket full to the top of wet white sugar sand would be worth?

someone wants to buy this from me locally but I have no idea how much to charge.

Is it from your tank or from the beach?
I wouldnt dare getting sugar sand as the grains are too small and the current in most reef tanks would always be stirring it up..

but for reference sake most people charge by the pound. I think 2 dollars per pound would be fair IF it is live sand form a tank.

it is petsmart dry sugar sand sand I added to my new tank with a bit of live rock and removed about 2 weeks later because of sand storms

I am scared to charge per pound because it is wet and weighs more so I don't want him to think I'm screwing him

You know how many pounds it was when you bought it right?

treat some else the same as you would like to be treated.

Instead of charging him anything maybe check out his tank and see if he has a nice coral that you like. Then he could frag it for you instead of dropping cash.
