hey I am very new to all this and have almost no knowledge on how to set up a tank and was wandering where you got all your knowledge from and what i need to set a tank up.

Most of us spend way too many hours reading here. Somehow, even for me, it starts to sink in ;)

There is also a good book for beginners by Michael S. Paletta... The New Marine Aquarium. The book has some good stocking advice for newbies too.

Definitely use the search function as you'll find answers to specific topics you want to learn about. Before I started, I read for hours and hours on this forum learning about mistakes others have made and certain things I should do. I must have spent about 3-4 months before I even set up my tank reading. Definitely a good thing that you are here! :)
