Is a 10 G okay to use as a quarantine tank?

Dont see why not. Just use good flow and a little landscaping...

It depends on what you are using it to quarantine for. It would work for small fish, but you wouldn't want to put in large species, (tangs etc...) The purpose is to provide a safe, non stressful environment for them.

A 10 gallon would be good for most fish but don't try to keep a full grown tang/butterfly/lionfish/etc in there. FWIW, a quarantine tank does not need a lot of flow, a hob filter will suffice.

With a 10 gal you will have to be doing a lot more water changes. This can be stressful to fish also
