I have been using an API calcium test kit, and wondering what others opinions are concerning accuracy. What is your favorite calc test kit?

I use API's calcium test kit. It's accuracy is down to 20ppm because each drop while titrating is equal to 20ppm of calcium. This level of accuracy is fine for me. I have a mixed coral reef. I have compared this test kit to Seachem and Elos with matching results. I continue to use it mainly due to its simplicity, ease of use and you can pick it up almost anywhere. The color change at the end of the titration is easy to notice as well.

i use the seachem test kit for calcium, but i don't think there is any significant difference between name brand test kits, this business has very knowledgeable customers that would make it known right away if their kits were faulty.

i use the new red sea calcium pro test kit... they are pretty good.. close to salifert as far as quality and testing techniques...

I find the API kits run a little high for calcium. Elos and Salifert are a little more accurate.

Whatever you do don't get Tropic Marin. Their Ca/Mg test is horrible.....it was a waste of money.

I prefer the Salifert to API, you can read a narrower band for accuracy with Salifert.
