I have a couple of these guys. two of them is roughly 6-8 inches long. Are they bad or should I get rid of them? How do I get rid of them?

+ 1 on bristleworm. Personally, I would leave them as a part of your CUC.....

Bristle worms, alot of ppl say they are harmless and make good cuc. but i've read storys of them eating fish when they get bigger.

thanks everyone. they are getting a little too big and I'm afraid they might stress or end up eating my fish. one is 6-8 inches and I think the other one is roughly 8-10 inches.

I would leave it, its a great addition to your clean up crew, Chances are that if they are getting your fish they are already dead or dying when they get them. I have one that is over 10 inches long in my tank, and has never caused any problems.

I've had them that big in my previous tank, they never hurt anything. I wish mine were that big now, but the tank is only 5 months old and I didn't get the real quality live rock when starting. Not too much life, in the live rock.

I would get rid of the 8 in one, but leave the rest. Don't touch them remember! they have prickers on their sides that will get stuck in your skin

I leave them be in my tank. I have one in my 29 that almost reaches from the front to the back. He is out every morning before lights on scouting for something to eat.

+1 on not touching it if you decide to remove

I have one that is close to 2ft long! :eek2:
He is actually a model citizen and only eats leftovers!! :D

they are actually pretty easy to remove.. they tend to stay around the same area.. If you want him out, just put some food out, wait for him to come eat, then take some tongs and pluck him :)
like others have said.. Don't touch him!!! its painful!!!
