I picked up a pink Pocillpora from a frag swap and didn't notice that half of the base was green. I believe it is dying? I thought it's supposed to bleach to white but the area w/ green has no polyp extension. I clipped some of the branches off, don't know i that was a good idea. Also, it appears that there are some damaged branches, however there is polyp extension... it's a bright pink color as opposed to the rest of the polyps on the coral. Is this RTN? Is it healing? Is this guy a goner? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

That will be Oestreobrium AKA green boring algae. In most cases its doomed if not fragged..... but not always. My Hoeksemai that i have had for 8 months or so has beaten it AND appears to have grown over most of the damaged area. Keep your nutrients low and its possible it may survive.
