Would appreciate members advice.
For a 240 gallon tank what rating skimmer would be recommended ?
Any particular suggestions such as Deltec or aqua marine?

wow...240 G, that's a big tank. Lucky you :)

What I would say is that, whatever model or brand you go for, make sure it is a top quality. A good skimmer is amongst the best investments you can do.

IMO it is worth spending more money to begin, but in long run you will not regret. For my 125g I run "mini bubble king" which is awsome, I'm really pleased with it.

Bubble king has many options pending tank size, so you can search what model would be best for a 240g. If I were you, and had the money, would not hesitate for the bubble king. Deltec as a brand has a good reputation, but I don't know much about their skimmers.

Good luck..and remember...invest up-front, enjoy down the road :fun4:

Skip the aquaeuro, they have an outdated design and use a mediocre pump. I've seen them in action, and they just don't produce a fine enough bubble to skim well.

Deltec, Bubble King, Vertex Alpha, and Octopus Super Reef all have suitable models that will do a great job on the tank. Of the ones listed, the Super Reef's will be most affordable, however the performance of a Deltec or Red Dragon powered skimmer is hard to beat. Select a model per their tank size recommendations, those manufacturers are actually honest with their ratings.

Depends on what you're doing with it. LPS doesn't need as potent a skimmer as, say, sps or fish-only.
