This stuff has just really taken off the past week. What is this green grassy mossy stuff? Is it bad? How can I clean it out?

Green hair Algea its not bad but it can take over the tank. Suck it up your next water change and maybe cut back on feeding.

I dont think its GHA. Looks like Chlorodesmis to me. Check this article here and see if it fits.

GHA is much uglier IMO :)

I know it's not green hair algae and I'm not sure about Chlorodesmis... it's not long in length. For size relation that clown fish is maybe half the length of my pinky finger. Any other ideas?

+1 best guess Chlorodesmis. Keys are irregularly dichotomously divided filaments that lack cellular crosswalls. Slight constrictions are present at irregular intervals, sometimes coincident with branching. Magnification necessary to see these features. Less likely candidates:

Species of Chaetomorpha can grow attached but the filaments are entirely unbranched. Attached chaetos rare in the hobby.

Cladophora is branched, filamented, with multinucleate cells. Can be a nasty one to control.

"GHA" usually reserved for Derbesia and Bryopsis, of which yours is neither.

Chlorodesmis likely to fade on it's own. It's hard to grow if you want it. OR remove the rock from the tank, scrub the algae off, rinse away the fragments, and keep it in an unlit sump for 8-16 weeks to attempt to kill it off. OR scub it off and then brush acid over the area it was growing - this very effective. Even weak acids like white vinegar (5% acetic acid) work. Rinse away the dissolved products and return the rock to the tank.
