I currently have a 55 gallon for my main display tank, i have a 30 gallon hex tank that i started with years ago. Is there any way to turn it into a sump, or some type of filter maybe using scrubbies, or filter media etc? Thanks everyone in advance.

You can turn it into a refugium pretty easily. Just put a 5 gallon bucket in the tank for your macro, have it spill over the edge to your return pump. You just have to make sure your return pump can fit between the bucket and your tank. You can use whatever filter socks you want on the input and if your skimmer is small enough, or an external or an HOB you could use that too.

Good idea! I knew there was something i could do to help with the display tank, i also would like to use the hex for dosing, and water changes. Thanks and Great looking dog I have a Pit myself also.
