slightly off topic about GFO

I was just wondering if I could use the GFO I keep on hand for my reef on my freshwater tank which is having issues with free floating algae cauging green water.

Maybe worth a try. What type of freshwater tank?

id give it a shot, cut back on your lighting cycle too and make sure your not getting natural sunlight in the tank that will cause green water , a uv steralizer will knock it out for good
