View Full Version : 300 gallon system heater ?

what are you running ? 300 gallons worth of rubbermaid and a few displays ... post some replies @#!$ it !!!

on my 180 im running 2 300's and only one is on for most of the time. i would say a 500w would be good enough and mby a extra 300 or 500 for back up. just my opinion, hope this helps.

+1 I have 2 300 watts, I rather not run a single 500w in the event it breaks.
2 300 watts are for redundancy.

I run a setup in Florida, what's a heater? :)

Pretty much dual heaters, or even more, works well. When I started, I ended up experimenting with heaters too much and just went overkill, then I was wasting money. Now I run 2 200W heaters in a system holding about 220 gallons and 2 150W in systems holding less. They are almost never on. But the room is warm.

Now cooling is another cost. :)

i hear ya there man , lots of heat off my 400's :)
i was going with 2 300 watt heaters just wanted to see if anyone recommended 2 500 watt units maybe ... i have a wood stove in the room so if i need to warm it up i can make it happen quick i guess
