Have a biocube 14 and has been running about 2 months. This started growing a couple of weeks ago and am wondering what it is. Looks like some kind of algae.

Next step is a chiller and LED retrofits for the biocube.

Overall tank when first setup:

Added a yellow chromis when I discovered flatworms and he has worn them out.

This past week I added the following:

I'll let it go for a couple of months after adding the chiller and lights this week before adding any coral and then will add a little at a time.

Yes, that's red macro algae. I hope you're able to keep that little dragonet alive. I was told by my ex-LFS when I had my first tank that it was a blenny that ate hair algae. Poor little fella starved.

Four fish in a 14 gallon tank? They are small now but will be a bit much soon for that tank.

You might want to add pods for your scooter. Good luck and happy reefing.
