I am looking for a cheap RO/DI unit. I have a 40 gallon breeder sized tank so I dont need high output. I envision hooking it up to the garden hose or outside faucet to make water overnight for weekly water changes.
Any suggestions?

I got the buckeye field supply. 75gpd premium unit for $170. I'm not sure how it compares to other price wise but I would go under 75gpd there's been so many times I needed water fast. A good rodi is one of the most essential thing to get.

I use the purely h2o optima 4 stage 75gpd and it works very well. they are pretty cheap and the carts are affordable. Their shipping cost aren't the best though.

I have been using the Mighty Mite (above) for over a year and I like it just fine. More than adequate for my 60 gallon and I just ordered replacement cartridges for only $27.00. I hook mine up to the laundry tub once a week and make more than enough to last me a week or two with regular water changes.

I am not sure about "good and cheap" goes together in this hobby. However, this might fit your needs.
