So I picked up an octopus recirc skimmer today from a local reefer on a package deal. This feed tube to the skimmer was broken, has any one had any experience fixing this? Or do you know of anywhere I could send it to be repaired?

You'll probably have better luck finding a solution if you post this in the Coralvue/Reef Octopus forum. Good luck!

If you're looking for Reef Octopus or Octopus it doesn't stand out since it's listed alphabetically in the C's for Coralvue.

how about a tube of weldon #16? that will fix any acrylic and stronger than it was before!

Is the feed tube passing through a UniSeal? If so, the fix is easy, the appropriate size piece of pvc will do it. It is hard to tell from the pics.

+1 thats what I would do. That is a good skimmer fix it and get the new pinwheel impeller for the pump, you will be happy with it, the Reef Octopus skimmers are great skimmer, you have the older design looks like.

I'll get some better pics when I get home, the tube ran from the inside of the skimmer to the out side and the outside portion broke off. Not sure what a uniseal is.

drill it out, replace with uniseal, and you are good to!

Think of a UniSeal as a rubber grommet that allows you to pass through a cylinder and seal the opening.
