So I was looking at my tank today and saw something move. Sounds normal except for the fact that I have not added anything but rock sand and water. I can't get a pic because what it is, is tiny, no more than 1/8 " less that that i would say, not much bigger than 3 grains of sand in a row. It is longer than it is wide and seems almost transparent except for a darker colored strip a few mils wide in the middle of its body. I could'nt get a great look at it due to the size, but it looks like a beetle i guess? I have seen 3 at once out and about on the rocks near what I would presume has become a den of sorts, they come and go from there.
Help, please, with my problem:Above creature

Some type of pod. Amphipod, copepod or isopod. ;) No worries.

I'm assuming you got live rock? If so, I would agree that it is a pod of some sort.

MMM hard to tell as what I have seen was so small but yeah I would say its close to that. Was staring at the tank to watch for more action and started to notice what appears to be molts. different sizes. then I noticed more and more and all of a sudden nothing. its like everything just disolved and I havent seen anything crawling around. Thanks for the input guys. Good to know it's nothing to worry about.
