I've added this little guy a few days ago. He seems fine with the tank and all. From the next day on, he keeps himself busy grazing all day long. When I feed him with pellets, he complete ignores them and just continue grazing. Should I be worried?

I'd try some different foods just for peace of mind: flake, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp
If he eats all that GHA in your tank, then that also means he should eat Nori. But I think he needs a little meat (shrimp) in his diet as well.

Thank you, but what is GHA?

Yeah, these fish are omnivores, not herbivores. The mature LR you have is essential for most dwarf angels, but he needs meat too. Feed him some good frozen stuff: mysis, Formula I & II, gut loaded brine, etc. most fish will feed on frozen before pellets. (Wouldn't you?)

GHA = Green Hair Algae
+1 to everything MrTuskfish said. Some good frozen Formula I & II would be great for him. I need to pick some up myself.

If he seems happy and is eating away at all the GHA you have, I wouldn't even try to feed him. lol
Hate for him to get spoiled on mysis and never touch your GHA again. But once it's about gone, sure. Nori. Frozen foods.
What types of fish food are available to you in Thailand?

I'm sure everything we can get... and MUCH .... MUCH more.

I would try the new life spectrum finicky fish formula. A lot of fish that won't eat other pellets will eat these :) good luck! That is one pretty fish!

I would agree.

Absolutely. Steak for dinner, salad if my wife makes it.

I'm not sure if what he's grazing on is GHA. At least, he doesn't go for the big long GHA anyway. He picks on something tiny, I can't see what they are. May be young GHA?

We have all kinds :lolspin:
We have ones from USA, ones from Europe, ones from Japan, and even some local made. I usually mix different brands all together and feed the fish. They seem to like the variety.
Hehe! i was just wondering if you guys had different things or even the same things available.

It looks to me like you may a bryopsis problem and not hair algae. If so, you need to take action quickly.
You should get the fish feeding supplemental foods, but I wouldn't be worried. They can be trained on nori lips and you might try frozen foods like cylops, cyclopeeze and small frozen mysis. Frozen fish eggs are good, too.

Yep, I have bryopsis problem. (I thought bryopsis and GHA were the same thing, guess not). The picture you see is already in the better days. It was far much worse. The whole tank was covered with bryopsis, it literally looked like a moss tank!
I have been trying to solve the problem. I elevated the Magnesium level to 2000 ppm for over a month. I also have reactor running with biopellet (http://npbiopellets.dvh-import.com/). Most of the bryopsis had died out. Only some has left. I've also noticed that some of the what is left are probably different kind of algae. They are more corse, tough, and darker in color.
I have lowered the magnesium level down to at 1670 ppm. And will try to do more water change. Would this help? Is there anything else I should do to get rid of the bryopsis for good? Thanks.

Thanks.Good for you! You might have to consider throwing out the rocks with the remaining turf(?) algae or breaking off the part that it's on.
Dwarf angels are mainly looking for microalagae, sometimes filamentous algae and slime/detritus. No doubt they consume a few pods, but I don't think that's the point of the incessant grazing.
