I am assuming that everyone ? has this on the back wall for fish to nibble on, it is very thin layer , the fish are getting extra food, does everyone have this?

No problem. What is your concern?

That is normal tangs are grazers and will do that. I have a yellow eyed Kole tang that does it. Be happy about it's a happy fish.:fish2:

I have a potter's angel and a yellow minic tang that will do this as well.
Seams pretty normal to me

my kole and yellow tang both do it. I never clean the back glass because of them.

Same here, although my Yellow Tang doesn't do it as much as my Kole. I rarely clean the film algae off the back wall as well just to give him something to graze on during the day. He does a pretty good job keeping it clean all by himself. I still have to clean it every once in a while because coralline, tiny fan worms, etc, start growing all over it if I don't.
