What is the biggest size tank I can fit in a 40br standard pine stand(36"x18")? Someone out there can tell me from personal experience, so I don't have to go to different fish stores and trying to fit tanks in stands, LOL. Thanks!

a twenty long is all that would fit in my old one . i think theres a few more but they get higher and there isnt that much floor to ceiling under there . if your a craftsman you can make an acrylic one that will just squeeeeeeze in !

20 Long is all I can fit in mine.. I wish I would have built a bigger stand so I could have a bigger sump. MY 20Long just isnt big enough.

Yep, a 20 long.

And this is about how much room you will have left over (( the sump was all the way to the right ))

mine has no room left at all!. I had to take the bottom of my stand apart just to get my sump in there!

Okay, so I'm looking at putting the 20L in through the top or something crazy like when I put my 40br sump in my 120g stand....UGGGH:headwally:

I have 20 long sumps for my 40 breeder, 65 and 75, dropped the sump into the stand (( with the display tank off )) for all 3 of them. I recently moved and took advantage of that to make new sumps.
