I am putting together a 40br w/ 20L sump for my wife(she has to have damsels, and I won't let her put them in my 120). Are two Hydor Koralia nano 425's enough flow for this 3foot tank. I will have 220gph return + the two nano Koralias giving me 1070gph total circulation so that is 21.5 x's turnover. I have 50x's turnover in my 120g but I am aware that is way more than I need, but it stays clean almost on it's own. I just don't want to blast the inhabitants of the 40br., it is a short tank. I have Koralia Evolution1400's in my big tank and I think they would be too powerful in this application. I look forward to hearing what flow others have in their 40s. Thanks:reading:

Also, what are everyones thoughts on the JBJ OceanPulse Wavemaker. I was thinking about getting the two pump one and use it with the two Koralia nanos.

Are you planning on having a reef tank or FOWLR??? If FOWLR I would say that is enought. IMO.

It'll definitely end up being a reef tank when I put some overgrowth from my tank in there.

I am currently setting up a 40 breeder reef. I have a MJ900 in circulation mode (1000GPH) on the left side, centered on the glass. On the left I have a MJ1200 pointed at the surface and a Koralia 1 (400 GPH) near the top.

So do you think I will have enough flow? I don't want the huge koralia evo's like in my 120. The koralia nano's are nice and small so I thought two of the 425's might let me squeak by. What do you think about the JBJ OceanPulse Duo wavemaker and the two little powerheads? Thanks fellow 40er:wavehand:
