do you guys think i can keep a pair of false perculas (clownfish) in my 14 gallon biocube?

I've always been under the impression that if you buy one that is a little bigger than the other they'll pretty much pair up. At least that was the case when I bought mine.

Thats what I have read also....that they will fight for dominance and the dominant one will become female and get bigger.

How do you think mated pairs are formed?

Over the years I have had 5 pairs of spawning clowns, none of them were purchased as mated pairs.

There is no guarantee that any two juvenile clowns will pair up, they often fight once they start to mature. Two adults, even if male and female are very likely to fight. In a 14 gallon tank, I would start with a mated pair, there is no room for them to hide from one another.
