Well I got this setup today from a friend at work. It came with everything you see in it plus a GBTA, arc eye hawkfish, tomato clown, neon dottyback, pistol shrimp and cleaner shrimp.

Welcome to the NC28 club!! Was all the LR, sand, water, etc transferred from the original setup? Just watch out for any kinds of mini-cycle from the move, don't want to lose any livestock!

BTW, that sound like some fiesty livestock!! Dottyback and tomato are both fairly aggressive, and the hawk may eat any shrimp in the tank so just keep an eye out for aggression.

Thanks, yeah all sand, LR and water came along with it. I did a 50% water change while I was setting it up. Did the same with my 12G and had no cycle. Yeah I'm definately keeping an eye on the livestock if they start getting too aggressive then I'm probably just going to trade them in for store credit at my LFS. My friend never had a problem with any of them though, especially the hawkfish. He said it hasn't tried to go after the shrimp yet but I know like everyone else that the possiblity is always there.

I like the rescaping!

Thanks. It really opens it up a lot and allows more swimming room for the fish.

It looks like you have a lot more shelf room to fill up now too:)

Thanks, I'm sure yours will look just as good if not better than mine. I won't have to get the wallet out that much now. Don't wan't to take up too much real estate and prevent stuff from growing out.

Thanks ange. Well I've had quite a bad day so far today. Had to run into work at 7 this morning got home at 8 and my alarm on my heater was going off. Walk into my tank room and my temp was at 85!!!! Well right then and there I ran out and shut all the doors and windows because for some reason my wife had them open and the ac off and the house was sitting at about 79. So after I got it all shut up I started checking water parameters and noticed my blue brain melted, and a few of my sps that I had in my 125 started bleaching :( and I had ammo in the tank, no trites or trates though and salinity was at 1.025. So did a 50% water change and got some ammo lock and zeolite ammonia remover. Still a little ammo in the tank but nowhere near what was in there. Will probably do another 50% water change later on. So moral of the story don't let your wife open up the house in virginia during the middle of summer for more than maybe an hour or two.

Good luck! In her defense it did get warmer than it has been fairly quickly today. (at least in southern pa)

It's been averaging between 85-95 the last few weeks here. I know she didn't do it on purpose which is why I'm not mad at her. Oh geeze I just realized you were in butler, I'm originally from the Johnstown area. Joined the navy now I'm in virginia. I'll be up in PA tomorrow, which is why I hope I can get this under control today before we leave in the morning.

Bummer, hope everything makes it through the cycle and heat shock incident. Chiller was the best $250 I ever spent on my NC28!

Thanks ange yeah the guy I bought it off of said he never needed a chiller on it, the temp stayed at 80. I think what caused it to go over was I decided to run both return pumps yesterday, he had only been running one with 3 power heads in there.

Yup, each pump can add a significant amount of heat. My big Sicce skimmer pump put me over the edge so I bought the chiller. It'll pay for itself this summer in saved electricitt cost though. Keeping my AC at 80 instead of 72 when I am out of the house makes a huge difference in 100+ degree TX summers!

Yeah I hear ya on that, it has only gotten over 100 a few times this year. Usually around late july early august is when it heats up here in souther va.
If I have problems with it then I will probably invest in a chiller.

Well with a big sigh of relief, came home today and everything was still alive and kicking and most of my sps is starting to color back up! This makes me so happy lol.

Yup sure was, thank you. I was expecting the worse all weekend figuring I was going to come home to fish and coral stew but everything was fine. My plate coral was upside down on the sand bed but it still looks fine. Oh and I even lost power over the weekend with no problems so that was good.

Ok well my mini cycle has finally completed, ammo, trites and trates 0. dKH-8, pH-7.8, cal-440, Mg-1400. Hopefully the bad luck bug is gone and my tank can start thriving.

Ok well it has been a while since I've posted up pics on everything. Got a few new things recently. I'm done putting anything in there for a while minus a few choice sps. Well as stated above lost a few of my sps during the mini cycle but everything is doing really well now and life is really starting to pick up in the tank. I will be adding a few pics of my wifes 12g in here as well. Well here are the pics.
