It's finally time to move the tanks. This will take place next week. It's a 30 mile move. I am taking down the 20 and placing it's inhabitants in the 29 bowfront until I start the 125. I will place fish, coral, and some of the live rock from both tanks into the 29. The remainder of the rock will be placed in a plastic container with sw and a powerhead and begin "cooking". I have around 60-70 lbs of dry aragonite sand in an ice chest. It was taken from an old tank, rinsed twice in fresh water (not ro/di), and laid on a tarp to dry in the sun.
My question is this, should I try to use the DSB that's in the 29 now, trying my best not to disturb it much during the move, or should I toss it and use some of the dry sand I have? I guess option #3 would be to buy new sand? I'm thinking when I pull the rock out I'm gonna stir up some crud.

Should I post this in the newbie forum?
