I bought the Blueberry Sea fan:

The first day I put it in, it opened up and looked amazing. Now with it being in the same location with the same light and current he is not opening up at all he has been like this for a week. Every now and then a couple polyps open up but the rest of the polyps stay closed.

It is currently in the sand bed I am thinking about moving him a little higher in my tank?

Does anyone know what else I can try?

Are you aware this is a nonphotosynthetic NPS coral? It requires lots of feedings and is among the most difficult coral to keep in a closed system. You might have better luck seeing it open at night or in a low light environment. If you don't have a setup dedicated for NPS, it will not survive long.

I have had one for a couple of years. It gets high flow and fed by cyclopeeze.

How much light is it getting? They should not be under our normal reef lighting. Most folks that care for these types of corals have tanks dedicated to them so they can feed the tank heavy.
