Salifert all the way! I've been won over to the Hannah low range phosphorus checker, but don't have one yet as I have no algae issues.

I use Salifert tests as well (NH3, NO3, pH, Ca, Alk, Mg). When some of the kits expire or are used up, I plan to purchase Hanna testers (Alk, Phosphate, and Ca).

I would buy Hanna with what they have, and buy salifert with what they don't have.

I've got Pinpoint pH, salinity and ORP meters on my system. The pH and salinity are rock solid,4 years running 24/7, but the
ORP is useless.

I have been using salifert and API just to make sure I am not getting an incorrect reading. after 3 sets, I've always got the same reading, so after I use up my saliferts, I will just use API. this is for ca, kh, nitrate. I use either salifert or red sea for mag.

Ive used the pinpoint nitrate digital tester, the probes dont last very long and cost almost as much as a new unit to replace. Milwaukee digital ph meter has been running non-stop for almost three straight years. Salifert for cal. alk and mag, hanna for phosphates, api for high range nitrate , salifert for low range nitrate

I just recently switched to the red sea test kits. I really like them! I use them for ca, alk and mag.
