I just returned from a dive vacation and brought back a couple of pieces of dead coral that would be perfect additions to my tank. I've been looking for branching pieces for quite some time but now that I have them, I want to be cautious about adding these pieces. They were wrapped in wet paper on the flight home but couple of pieces appear dry to the touch. Just to be save, should I just cure it in a bucket before adding, any other recommendations?

Thanks

Personally, I would dry it out and kill it before I put it in the tank. Unless there's something in particular that's alive on it that you want to keep. At the very least cure it in a bucket as a sort of quarantine.

Cure and QT if it was me. Might be some cool stuff there.
